Breaking Concrete, Fixing Drainage

This project started with a necessary but messy stage of demolition to make way for a proper drainage upgrade.
Step 1: Concrete Cutting
We began by carefully cutting the existing concrete slab to define the area for removal and allow access to the work zone. Let’s just say… concrete cutting is loud enough to make everyone on site reconsider their life choices 😅.

Step 2: Removal & Excavation
Using a jackhammer, the concrete was broken up and removed to expose the base. This allowed us to dig and prepare for a new drainage pipe, set to the proper grade for effective water flow and long-term performance.
Step 3: Drainage & Prep for New Pour
Next will be the installation of proper drain tile, followed by backfilling and compaction. Once everything is set and graded correctly, the area will be ready for new concrete to be poured and finished.
More updates to come as we move into the rebuild stage.
